Under the guidance of world-renowned Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. C. Palanivelu I honed & crafted my skills of Laparoscopy & I have done numerous advanced Laparoscopic surgery since then. I have undergone special training in Laparoscopic Colo-Rectal Surgery at St.Vincen’ts Hospital, Seoul, South Korea & training in Stapler Haemorrhoidectomy (MIPH – Minimally Invasive Procedure for Piles) at Singapore General Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Eu Kong Weng.
Recently I have acquired high end Diode Laser Machine from Poland for effectiveness long lasting treatment of Piles & Varicose Veins. This is the latest, sophisticated, simple & painless non-operative procedure for piles. Recently I have acquired prestigious Fellowship of Association of Colo-Rectal Surgeons of India (FACRSI). Having a qualification in Radiology, I am doing therapeutic interventional procedures under Sonographic guidance like Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) of Varicose Veins. This day care painless laser treatment has revolutionized the treatment of Varicose Veins in modern times.

About me

I have been practicing in Nagpur since 1995, as a General & Cancer Surgeon, Endoscopist & Laparoscopic Surgeon.
I did my basic medical graduation (M.B.B.S.) from Government Medical College, Nagpur in 1987, completed my Diploma in Radiodiagnosis (D.M.R.D.) in 1990 & acquired Masters Degree in General surgery (M.S.) from the same institute in 1993. I worked as a full-time lecturer in Surgery in Government Medical College, Nagpur, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur & Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur.
I received residency training at Government Medical College, Nagpur, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, R.N. Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, K.B.Bhabha Hospital, Mumbai, L.T.M.M. Hospital, Sion, Mumbai & Madras Medical College, Chennai. I have also received residency training in Orthopedic Surgery & Cardiovascular Surgery.
I have a Nursing Home & full-fledged Operation Theater with modern equipment & gadgets at J.P. Chambers, Shradhanandpeth.
I acquired Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery and Fellowship of AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India) under the guidance of world-renowned Laparoscopic surgeon Dr. C. Palanivelu at Coimbatore & I am fortunate enough to get my Laparoscopic center inaugurated by him in 2004. Apart from routine Cholecystectomy & appendicectomy, I am also performing advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries like Duodenal perforation, Splenectomy, Inguinal Hernia & Ventral Hernia. I am performing all these Surgeries with the help of world-class equipment of Richard Wolfe, Germany & Olympus, Japan. I have also added Harmonic Scalpel (Johnson & Johnson) to my armamentarium essential for advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries.
I am doing diagnostic & therapeutic gastroscopies with Olympus GIF-E Type II video scope. Therapeutic endoscopy includes band ligation of Esophageal varices, injection sclerotherapy, stenting of Oesophageal malignancy & percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy.
I was attached to Indira Gandhi Rugnalaya, Nagpur as an Honorary Consultant Surgeon for 15 years. This hospital is run by Nagpur Municipal Corporation on charitable basis & caters to poor & needy patients.
I have admission facilities at many reputed hospitals in Nagpur for critically ill patients.
I am also performing Gastroscopy, Laparoscopy Surgery & General Surgery at various Nursing homes on request.
I also worked as honorary consultant surgeon at Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Hospital (SVMM), a charitable hospital at Khapri, Nagpur
