Dear Colleagues,
Dear Esteemed Members, It gives me immense pleasure to present the latest edition of Upsurge, the official publication of the Association of Surgeons of Nagpur Chapter. Upsurge is the voice of that mind - our curiosity, our discipline, our research, and our passion for healing.
ASN Nagpur has a proud legacy of academic leadership. Today, as surgery enters an era of robotics, precision techniques, and global collaboration, we must ensure that our knowledge keeps pace with our skill.
This magazine reflects the strength of our mentors, the energy of our young surgeons, and the unity of our fraternity. Let it inspire discussion, innovation, and continuous learning.
This year, under our theme “Surgery Unbound” focuses on Surgical Waves of Innovation - Precision with Purpose,” we reaffirm our commitment to advancing surgery through technology, research, and ethical excellence. Just like waves reshape the shoreline, innovation reshapes surgical practice - from minimally invasive techniques to robotic- assisted precision.
Upsurge represents the intellectual momentum of ASN Nagpur. It brings together scientific articles, clinical experiences, case discussions, and non academic reflections from both senior mentors and emerging surgeons. It is a bridge between legacy and innovation.
I congratulate the Editorial Team Dr. Rajvilas Narkhede, Dr. Nitin Sherkar, Dr. Priyanka Nagdive for their dedication & commitment. We encourage every member to actively contribute to future editions. Let this magazine become a powerful academic and creative voice that reflects the strength and vibrancy of our surgical fraternity. Together, let us continue to rise - with precision, purpose, and progress. May Upsurge not just be read - but remembered.
With pride and gratitude for all contributors,
With warm regards and best wishes,
Dr. Deepa P. Jahagirdar
President
Association of Surgeons, Nagpur (ASN)
