Clinical meeting of ASN:
On10th of February 23 ,4th clinical meeting was conducted at Hotel Airport Centre Point Nagpur. Three lectures were delivered and there was good clinical discussion amongst all surgeons. More than 75 members attended this clinical meeting.
Dr Nilesh junankar, President of ASN gave welcome speech. Dr ghanashyam chude Secretary of ASN conducted the clinical meeting and proposed vote of thanks at the end.

Surgical Camp at MAHAN Trust Melghat by Association of Surgeons of India, Nagpur Chapter on 9 th October 2022”
Recently on 9 th October 2022,ASN conducted surgical camp at MAHAN trust hospital run by Dr Ashish Satav and Dr Kavita Satav. 45 critical surgeries were performed successfully by team of 11 surgeons and 4 anaethetists from Nagpur. Dr Nilesh Junankar,President ASN and Dr Ghanshyam Chude, Secretary of ASN thanked Dr Kavita Satav profusely for wonderful arrangements and hard work involved in screening more than 75 patients from tribal belt. Poor patients from this tribal belt who were suffering from chronic diseases since many years were hugely benefitted by this operative camp.
Dr Prasad Upganlawar,Treasurer ASN, Dr Sudhir Deshmukh, Past President ASN, Dr Prachi Mahajan, President Elect ASN ,Dr Kanhaiya Chandak, Dr Unmed Chandak, Dr Sandip Hatwar, Dr Mahesh Soni, Dr Abhay Chaudhary were instrumental in performing surgeries.Dr Madhukar Thakare took special efforts in organising the surgical camp and motivating all surgeons. Anaesthetist Dr Vinod Kurwale, Dr Archana Muneshwar, Dr Anjali Kolhe and Dr Pankaj Machve were of help for the success of camp.

Silver Jubilee Celebration of Late Dr Indrajit Mitra Memorial State level surgical quiz by Association of Surgeons of India,Nagpur chapter :
On 25th September,Sunday Silver Jubilee Late Dr Indrajeet Mitra Memorial Surgical Quiz was conducted by Association of Surgeons of India,Nagpur Chapter at J R Shaw auditorium ,IMA building,Nagpur.
21 teams from different medical colleges of Maharashtra participated in this prestigious quiz.This was a silver jubilee year of the quiz and it was a special occasion for the association.
Cheif guest of the quiz Inaugural function was Mrs Anindita Mitra ,IAS,Municipal commissioner Chandigarh.Dr Subhrajit Dasgupta is the Chief Patron and Advisor of the quiz and he was the Guest Of Honour.Other dignitaries Mrs Shikha Mitra and Mrs Nivedita Mitra were present at the time of inauguration. Dr Nilesh Junankar President of Association of Surgeons of India, Nagpur chapter, Dr Unmed chandak, Chairman of the quiz committee, Dr Atish Bansod, Co-chairman and Dr Ghanashyam Chude Secretary of ASN were present on the dias.Dr Nilesh Junakar delivered welcome speech and Dr S. Dasgupta addressed the gathering. Dr.Anagha Kulkarni was a master of the ceremony. Dr BS Gedam , Dr Sunil Lanjewar and Dr Subhod Gupta were the judges of the quiz.
Quiz master Dr Mrinalini Borkar ,Dr Prashant Bhowate ,Dr Dinesh Sarda, Dr Divish Saxena ,Dr Prasad Bansod ,Dr Yogesh Bang and Dr Abhinav Deshpande conducted the quiz very efficiently with unique ideas. Dr Raj Kanthawar, Dr Sushrut Fulare ,Dr Bhupesh Tirpude and Dr Nirmal Patle took special efforts in time keeping and scores of the quiz. Advisory committee members Dr Sunil Lanjewar, Dr Rajesh Singhavi ,Dr Siddharth Dubhashi and Dr Rajendra Saoji helped the organising team for proper planning.
Students from GMC ,IGMC and LMH nagpur attended the quiz in large numbers. Late Dr Indrajit Mitra Memorial Silver medal was given to the topper in surgery from GMCH and this medal will be given every year to the topper in surgery.
Dr Ghanshyam Chude,Secretary of the association proposed vote of thanks.KEM Mumbai team won the quiz and team from VNGMC Yeotmal was the first runner-up and AIIMS nagpur team was the second runner-up.Past Presidents, Dr S. Dasgupta sir and all quiz committee members were present at the time of prize distribution ceremony on the dias.
